Smoothie

FuseFX produces more than just silicone paints. We also offer an entire line of products designed to make manipulating and casting silicone as easy as possible. 

FuseFX Smoothie Concentrate is a non-inhibiting, water-based spray-on lubricant for smoothing out wet silicone surfaces. Smoothie repels silicone, without dissolving it like alcohol or solvent do, making it ideal for repairing silicone seams, shaping the final layer of a silicone mold, or smoothing and sculpting the silicone skin of a foam form.

Simply spray Smoothie over wet, thickened silicone and shape with tools as usual to desired form. You can also dip or spray your tools for additional lubricating. Let the silicone cure then wash the Smoothie with warm water before adding more fresh silicone if needed. Smoothie MUST be washed off between silicone coats.

Smoothie comes in a concentrate and MUST be mixed with hot water before use. Both the 70g and 500g Smoothie kits come with a measuring cup, spray bottle attachment, and full instructions for use.

Royal JeL-E is an excellent water based mold release developed especially for casting silicone into silicone.

This unique solution is applied by lightly brushing Royal JeL-E into your silicone mold, creating a film over the entire surface. Use a hairdryer to speed-up the drying process. After demolding Royal JeL-E rinses off clean with warm water leaving your cured silicone piece clean of contaminants and residue.

It's also great for floating clay sculptures off plaster lifecasts! Apply 2 coats, drying between each, before sculpting. When ready, soak the lifecast in warm water for a few hours till the Royal Jel-E softens, then float the sculpture off.

Use Vinyl or Nitrile gloves when working with Royal JeL-E.

Working Time:  5-7 minutes

Curing Time: 30-40 minutes

Airbrushing: a working time of 20 minutes can be achieved by mixing 1.5 to 2 parts solvent to 1 part of mixed FuseFX paint.

Sizes

FuseFX F, M, and LY-Series paints normally have a working time of 10 minutes and a curing time of 2 hours (although this can be accelerated by applying heat). By replacing the normal Part A in the mixture with FuseFX's Fast-Eh or REALLY Fast-Eh? the working at setting times can be greatly accelerated.

BondFX is a unique two part platinum silicone coating that can be brushed or sprayed over tin based silicones, rendering the surface compatible with platinum silicones! Yes - you can now pour platinum silicones into tin silicone molds or paint them with FuseFX platinum silicone paints! (For best results, FuseFX Royal JeL-E should be used as a mold release.)

BondFX is fast setting and can be used not only as a primer for tin silicones, but also for seaming and patching tears, and encapsulating gel-filled appliances. 

The quick setting time and resistant to inhibition will make BondFX an essential tool in your silicone kit!

Encapsulators

Other FUSEFX Encapsulators

The following FuseFX products can also be used as encapsulators for gel-filled silicone appliances:

109 Basecoat -  is used to promote a better bonding surface for painting when using a shore 20A or higher/harder silicone. 109 Basecoat is brushed or poured into an open mold to form a surface "skin" prior to filling the mold with harder silicone. Can also be used as a soft skin encapsulator for Gel-filled silicone appliances. Must be used with 109 "Basecoat Part A" NOT normal FuseFX Part "A".

M/F-110 Clear  - is designed as a clear coat for silicone painting. Is also used as a binder for WS-Series Water Soluble Matting Powder or as a binder for your own Platinum silicone compatible pigments (always do a test first!). Can also be used as an encapsulator for Gel-filled silicone appliances.

Working Time:  1-2 minutes
