How to use Liquid Sheen...
ALWAYS MAKE A TEST FIRST…!!!
Liquid
Sheen is a
simple 50–50 mix (1 part A to 1 part B)
Working time 1 to 2 minutes, curing
time 2 to 3 minutes. Faster in a hot environment.
Liquid Sheen
is heat sensitive and can be fast cured by using a hairdryer.
matting down shiny silicone surface:
Apply a micro thin coat Liquid Sheen
using a lint free tissue or by brush.
Liquid Sheen MUST be patted down immediately with a lint free
tissue until it is cured, approx. 2 to 3 minutes.
Since Liquid Sheen
cures rapidly, it is best to apply in sections instead of doing a large
area.
Sealing Alcohol Activated makeup (AA
Make-up):
Start by stippling the AA make-up on the silicone appliance as you
normally would.
Do not over paint, leaving a few small spots on the silicone surface
with no AA Make-up.
Mix a small batch of Liquid Sheen and
with a lint free tissue; lightly stipple a micro thin coat over the
surface, let cure for a few minutes or use a hair dryer.
Continue with the AA Make-up and micro seal with more Liquid Sheen as
you go till you achieving the look and coloring you want.
Finish off with two micro thin coats of Liquid Sheen to
seal the surface.
Apply a final coat of Liquid Sheen and pat down with lint free tissue to matt the surface. Let cure.
Filling seams:
Mix a small batch of
Liquid Sheen and with a flat tool (an artist spatula works great
for this), begin to fill the seam, creating a level surface.
Once cured, you can mix another small batch of Liquid Sheen and
with a synthetic sponge; stipple the surface to create texture to match
the surrounding area.
Let cure or force cure using a hair dryer.
Finish with a final micro thin coat of Liquid Sheen and
pat down with lint free tissue.
